Terms of Service & Rental Agreement

These Terms form the basis of every rental contract between Wallabyriderent Pty Ltd (ABN: 27 345 918 204) and customers hiring vehicles in Australia. By hiring you agree to the terms below and the full Rental Agreement available on request.

Drivers must meet age, licence and payment requirements described in the booking. Additional drivers must be registered on the rental agreement.

Vehicles are supplied with standard cover; damage beyond policy excess is chargeable. Optional cover and excess reduction products are available at booking and are subject to terms.

Customers are responsible for fuel, tolls and infringements incurred during the rental. Administration fees may apply for processing fines and tolls.

Privacy & Data Handling (Australia)

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This covers collection, storage, use and disclosure of personal data for reservations, payments, fraud prevention and safety.

  • Collection: We collect only information necessary for booking, identity verification, and regulatory compliance.
  • Use & disclosure: Data may be shared with insurers, payment processors and law enforcement where required by law.
  • Access & correction: You can request access or correction to your data. Use the form below or email wallabyriderent@hotmail.com.
  • Retention & overseas transfer: We retain data as required by law; some providers may store data outside Australia with appropriate protections.

Australian Consumer Law & Liability

Consumer guarantees under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) apply where relevant. Our obligations include supplying services with due care and skill and accurate descriptions of vehicles and charges.

Limitations: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wallabyriderent limits liability for indirect or consequential loss arising from a hire. Specific statutory rights cannot be excluded.

Complaints, Data Access & Correction Request

Use this form to lodge a privacy access request, correction request or formal complaint regarding a rental or our handling of personal information. We will respond in accordance with Australian timelines (typically within 30 days).

If you remain unsatisfied after our internal process, you may escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state or territory where the hire commenced. Parties will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith; unresolved matters can be referred to external dispute resolution bodies and courts in Australia.
